​ As a Donegal Landscape Photographer, for me, Photography is the art of painting with light. The light plays differently on the sky, land and water and the contrast between these elements, along with the shapes and forms within the landscape set the composition of an image.

         

Watching the light change at a location, helps me visualise how the image could look. Persistence is then the key to capturing that special moment. As the light changes the colours and shades shift and move. The vibrancy and contrast often change very subtly but sometimes so dramatically that it is breathtaking.
